Overview

In Land or Die, your pilot has mysteriously passed out mid-flight. You and up to 34 other players must take control of the airplane, manage in-flight emergencies, and guide the aircraft to a safe landing. The game is currently in beta, so you can expect bugs, glitches, and ongoing updates. Success depends on quick teamwork, repairing broken systems, calming panicking passengers, and handling fires, turbulence, and other crises before the plane crashes.

Direct Outcome: A successful landing requires your crew to stabilize the plane, extinguish fires, repair critical systems, and maintain passenger morale. Failure to do any of these tasks can lead to a crash and the "die" outcome.

Requirements

Roblox account and the ability to join the game "Land or Die! 🔥 [SUPERSONIC]".
A stable internet connection (ping average is around 126 ms, but can spike above 1,300 ms).
At least 2–3 players are recommended for a successful run, though solo play is possible.

Step-by-Step Guide to Landing Planes

Step 1: Understand Your Controls and Roles

Switch camera views by pressing the V key. This helps you see the cockpit instruments, the cabin, and external views.
Move and interact using standard Roblox controls (WASD, mouse, E to interact).
Identify your role: You can be a pilot (steering), an engineer (repairing), or a flight attendant (calming passengers). Communication is key.

Step 2: Stabilize the Aircraft Immediately

Check the cockpit instruments to see the plane's altitude, speed, and heading.
Use the yoke or control wheel (if available) to level the wings and reduce descent rate. A rapid descent or steep bank is a sign of trouble.
If the plane is in a dive, pull back gently to level out. Overcorrecting can stall the plane.

Step 3: Manage Passenger Panic

Calm passengers by interacting with them (press E near a panicked passenger). Panic spreads quickly and can cause chaos.
Keep an eye on the passenger stress meter. If it gets too high, passengers may start running or causing damage.
Use the intercom if available to broadcast calming messages.

Step 4: Repair Broken Systems

Locate system failures: These are often indicated by red lights, alarms, or visual cues like sparks or smoke.
Use tools from the Supply Shop to repair. The shop sells items like fire axes, wrenches, and oxygen masks.
Prioritize repairs: Fix the engines first (if they are on fire or stalling), then the hydraulics, then the electrical systems.
Handle fires: Use a fire extinguisher (or the Forever Fire Axe gamepass) to put out engine fires. If a fire is not extinguished, it can spread and cause an explosion.

Step 5: Handle In-Flight Emergencies

Turbulence: Buckle up (if seats are available) or hold onto a fixed object. Turbulence can throw you around and cause injuries.
Engine failure: If an engine fails, you may need to shut it down and feather the propeller (if the game models this). This reduces drag.
Fuel leaks: Check the fuel gauges. If fuel is leaking, you may need to find the source and repair it, or divert to a closer airport.

Step 7: Execute the Landing

Lower the landing gear (if the game models this). A missed gear deployment can cause a belly landing and a crash.
Align with the runway using the instruments and visual cues.
Reduce throttle and flare just before touchdown. A "Perfect Landing!" badge exists, indicating that a smooth landing is possible.
After landing, brake to a stop. The "You Landed!" badge is awarded for a successful landing.

Common Mistakes and How to Avoid Them

Ignoring passenger panic: Panic can cause passengers to block aisles, break equipment, or even jump out. Always calm a few passengers before focusing entirely on repairs.
Neglecting fires: A small engine fire can quickly become an inferno. Extinguish it as soon as you see it.
Not switching camera views: Staying in first-person view inside the cabin can prevent you from seeing the runway or the plane's attitude. Use the V key to get an external view for landing.
Overcorrecting controls: Jerky movements can stall the plane or cause a spin. Make smooth, gentle inputs.
Running out of time: The game has an average playtime of about 8 minutes. Do not waste time on non-essential tasks. Prioritize the critical path: stabilize, repair, land.

Advanced Tips for Experienced Players

Use gamepasses strategically: The "More Health" and "More Stamina" passes let you survive longer and work harder. "More Oxygen" is useful if the cabin loses pressure.
Learn badge requirements: Badges like "Ace Pilot" (1.3% win rate) and "Perfect Landing!" (5.2% win rate) require specific actions. Study the badge list to know what triggers them.
Master the "Fill 'er Up!" badge: This badge has a 0.0% win rate but has been awarded over 6 million times, suggesting it may be tied to a common event like refueling.
Coordinate with your crew: Use voice chat or text chat to assign roles. One player should focus on steering, another on repairs, and another on passengers.
